Director Shane Gardiner was born and raised in Taranaki and has worked in the plumbing industry for more than 30 years. After returning to New Zealand from overseas, Shane established Gardiner Plumbing in 1991 and spent the following decades building a strong reputation for quality service, reliability, and professional workmanship throughout the region.

In 2024, Shane made the strategic decision to transition from Gardiner Plumbing to the Laser Plumbing franchise as part of a long-term vision for growth, future-proofing the business, and succession planning. During this process, an opportunity arose to purchase Laser Electrical New Plymouth.

Together with his partner and fiancée, Leigh Laurence, Shane acquired the electrical business and merged the two operations, creating Laser Plumbing & Electrical New Plymouth.

Today, the business offers a complete range of services including plumbing, electrical, gas fitting, solar, central heating, water filtration, automatic doors, maintenance, renovations and new builds.
